Dear fellow Alaskan,

Since declaring my candidacy to be the next Governor of Alaska, I have had the opportunity to travel throughout urban and rural Alaska and the privilege of listening to residents who truly care about our state's future.

Time and time again, a simple message is shared with me -- we need to make a positive change and do away with "more of the same." Alaskans are looking for future leadership with the experience to manage, dedication to an honest and above-board government, and the overall mission that all Alaskans come first.

Our priorities have shifted and we need to bring them back on track. Alaskans deserve to be listened to and respected. In fact, experience teaches us we make the most progress when we define our goals, explore all options, and invite all sides to participate.

The time is now for great change. As your next governor, we can make it happen.

  • Through integrity and transparency, we will bring government back to the people.
  • In a year of great surplus, let us evaluate both options of zero-based and forward funding budgeting and absolutely save a portion for our future.
  • Enter any and all negotiations with the sole intent to secure a natural gas pipeline contract that is first and foremost best for all Alaska.

When did doing what's right become the exception and not the rule? Together let's build a sustainable balanced budget, protect our permanent fund, create new jobs throughout the state, bring experts to the negotiation table, enhance our transportation system, provide a quality education for all children and defend our Constitution and the rights of all Alaskans. Let's make doing what's right the rule, not the exception.

It is no secret it takes a team effort to win and I am asking for your help and support. Please join me in changing Alaska's future; by working together we can make a difference.

God bless you,
